Whatever the tier, up front you pay only stage 1 — $150; the rest after the report and only if found.

Each further grave at the same cemetery: +50% of the first one's price. The regional surcharge applies to stage 2 only.

The older the burial, the higher the tier: before 1990 — at least B, 1950–1980 — at least D, before 1950 — E.

Tiers D and E are confirmed by the coordinator first: they involve a lot of archive work.

How the search works

Stage 1 — $150: archives, burial books and online databases for the city. Prepaid and credited to the full price. You get a report: where the person is most likely buried and whether a site visit makes sense.
Stage 2 — search at the cemetery: a visit, photos, video, a GPS point and a route from the gate. Paid only if the grave is found.
Not found — you pay nothing more. Found — the first cleaning is free.

Timing: the online stage takes 2–5 days, a site visit 3–10 days, archive requests from 2 weeks.

What we need from you

The full name, years of life (at least the year of death) and the city. If you know them — the cemetery, the plot, photos from the funeral or old letters: the more data, the lower the tier and the price.

How much does it cost to find a grave in Tashkent?

The full price is fixed by tier: from $199 (everything known) to $1,499 (archive search); with a known cemetery it is $349. Up front only stage 1, $150; the rest after the report and only if found.

Is there a burial database where I can search by surname?

Uzbekistan has no public burial database. Cemeteries keep their own burial books, and records exist at the civil registry (ZAGS) and in archives — that is what stage 1 works with. A free option is to ask the cemetery manager and the mahalla.

What if the grave is not found?

Then you pay only stage 1, $150: it covers the archive work and the report. After stage 1 we tell you honestly whether a site visit makes sense, and we don't go on hopeless cases.

Can I order a search from abroad?

Yes: the request and the contract are in a messenger, and stage 1 is paid to the details in the contract (Uzcard or Humo card, or SWIFT from abroad). The result — photos, video, a GPS point and a route from the gate — comes back there.

How long does the search take?
