Monuments are replaced for different reasons: the old one decayed, cracked, family composition changed (names to add), or the family wants a new design. It's a full job: removal, base prep, installation.
Cemetery coordination: a permit for removal and new installation (usually simple, but required). On family plots — administration may require consent from other relatives.
Old monument removal: stela and pedestal are carefully detached, base condition is checked. If the slab is good — we keep it; if damaged — we re-pour. The old monument is recycled or returned to the family for storage.
Timing: new monument fabrication 3–5 weeks; removal + install 1–2 days. Full cycle from order to completion is 4–6 weeks. Best done in warm season (April–October).
In short: replacement = permit + removal + new fabrication + install, 4–6 weeks. Leave a request with a photo of the old monument — we'll assess and send an estimate.
