In autumn the main task is preparing the plot for winter: clear fallen leaves, check water drainage after rains, inspect the monument and fence before frosts. This reduces the risk of cracks and shifts.
Autumn checklist: thorough leaf cleanup (especially around the monument base — rotting leaves accelerate joint decay); drainage and slope check; fence anchor inspection; removal of artificial bouquets that won't survive winter or replacement with more durable ones; joint sealing if needed.
If the plot is open and windy — also check the monument and pedestal stability. Freezing water in cracks expands them fast; a small autumn crack can be large by spring.
It's good to bundle the autumn visit into a subscription or seasonal package: one autumn visit is usually cheaper than two separate calls and covers all basic checks at once.
In short: autumn = leaves, drainage, anchors, frost protection. Leave a request with city and cemetery — we'll come before the first cold and share photos.
